Manager of Security Engineering

Clover is looking for an experienced technical engineering manager to lead a geographically distributed team of product security engineers that work across the entire Clover platform.

Clover is trying a new way to hire. Instead of taking up hours of your time to tell you about the role on a phone call, watch the video and read the description below. When you're ready, record a video answering the question from the introduction, and asking anything you'd like to know. We'll reach back out with a response. This way we save you hours of your time, and remove the pressure of an interview.

If you make a mistake, don't worry! This doesn't have to be perfect, we're all getting to know each other. If you're really stressed about it, you can just record another video before you submit. Check out the example response below to get a feel for how straightforward this is.

F.A.Q.

  • Is this it? Will I be able to talk to people face to face / live?
  • You will definitely be able to talk to people live. This is to help with the early stages. Followup conversations will be live, so you can get a good feel for who you'd be working with.
  • What about feedback? How do I know if I'm answering the question that was asked?
  • That's a bit harder asynchronous. Just give it a shot. If you missed something, we'll come back and let you know so you can try again! Same if our questions are unclear, feel free to respond with that information.
  • Is there a minimum / maximum length?
  • Not at all, answer as you see fit. If your answer is quite long, use the "Save Recording Locally" button just in case something happens to your internet while it is being uploaded.
  • What about my resume, experience, and that type of stuff?
  • We'll get to that, but we genuinely care less about that, and more about your empathy, problem solving, and how you work on a team.
