Hey Backstoppers!
This biggest news in general this week was the election, and Cyber security was definitely top of mind. Colorado leads the nation when it comes to number of registered votes, and a big part of that is the simplicity of the mail-in ballots. For those who didn’t mail it in, there were watchful eyes keeping things safe. A great writeup in the Colorado Sun talks about how the Colorado CISO, National Guard Cyber Corp, and others all worked together to ensure a safe election. Thus far, in Colorado at least, that seems to have worked.

Security is a big piece of that. Specifically, there’s a story in there about how a logistics company was dropped for not protecting their S3 buckets sufficiently.
